PD Drinks is a new concept that blends media, humor, information, 7 herbs and spices, etc. etc. to create an interactive, entertaining, social network. We don't just teach you how to drink, we TELL you how to drink. Think one part "The Complete Bartender", and one part "How to Win Friends & Influence People".
Our core site content is broken down into three primary categories:Drink-O-PediaWe basically put together a drink database on steroids. Ok fine, 'steroids' is probably a little bit overboard. It's probably more accurate to say that we've built a drink database on some of that real strong malt liquor that makes you fight and rob people. When we started to take a close look at the bunch of the sites that were already out there, we realized that.. well.. they all pretty much all suck. So we decided to build a better one.Instant ExpertDo you have a social gathering to be at and you don't wanna look like a complete doofus? Well, we've got you covered. Our Instant Expert topics are a 4-minute speed read that will have you talking smack to the office wine snob in no time flat. Oh, you're worried that he'll ask you some follow up question and you'll get completely exposed in front of that artsy chick who doesn't realize you still watch pro wrestling? No sweat, we've got that all taken care of. Each of our write ups ends with a "Nerd Blocker". A "Nerd Blocker" is a quick phrase of answer that will short circuit all of those pesky attempts to figure out if you even remotely know what you're talking about.Wingman (coming soon ...)In common parlance (that's a big word that means people talk a certain way) the term "Wingman" refers to a friend that has to keep some girl's heavyset friend occupied while you convince her that you're nothing like the last five guys (or in your case 25 - 30 guys) that she met at this bar. To be fair, a "Wingman" doesn't actually have to be a man. I know plenty of chicks who have suffered through some geek's 30 minute monologues covering the relative merits of Guilds, Mages, and Level 60 Paladins (All in the name of some friend who thinks she's met Mr. Right... again).Well hey, we've got news. We've fixed all that. PC Drinks will soon offer an 'electronic' Wingman (Hmm, maybe I shouldn't say it that way, some of you girls already have that covered). The concept is simple. All you do is sign up (it's free man) and create an account. Then tell us what days of the week you normally go out, along with how to message you (Mobile e-mail, SMS, etc.). At some point in the evening on those days, your wingman is gonna reach out to you. They might chime in with a funny story to tell at the bar, some drinks suggestions, a picture of your ex girlfriend, etc.So, no more being out and drawing a blank when you need a funny story to counter all of those lame repeat stories that your brother in law tells. No more wracking your brain to come up with a good round of shots to order when you're trying to prove that you are the HDIC (head drunk in charge) at the table. Let your wingman do the heavy lifting while you concentrate on looking good. Here's a quick sample of the types of content that your Wingman might send to you:
